Common questions
What is the Mini-SPIN?
The Mini-SPIN is a 3-question social anxiety test derived from the 17-item Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN). A score of 6 or higher suggests possible social anxiety disorder.
Is the Mini-SPIN a diagnosis?
No. It's a screening tool. Only a licensed clinician can diagnose social anxiety disorder.
What's the difference between shyness and social anxiety?
Shyness is a personality trait. Social anxiety disorder involves intense fear of embarrassment or judgment that leads to avoiding social situations and interferes with work, school, or relationships.
